D-Day Remembered

Today marks the 65th Anniversary of the invasion of Normandy, D-Day.  President Obama, like many past Presidents is in France for the ceremonies commemorating that day 65 years ago when U.S. troops and our Allies took the beaches at Normandy and began to turn the tide in WWII.

25 years ago, at the 40th Anniversary Ronald Reagan attended the ceremonies and gave two amazing speeches.  The first of those speeches is often referred to as “The Boys of Point-Du-Hoc” speech.  You can read the text here or watch it below:

The second speech, is just as powerful, recounting the story of a young soldier who wanted to make it back to Normandy, but never did.
